Brail, for the most part, isn't unusual, isn't visual interesting, it's not sexy, but it doesn't have to be, it has an absolute practical purpose, and does it perfectly. But why couldn't it get a make over, yet still be functional.
If you're going to have it on your product, why not make it visually attractive.
